Club Facilities

Acton Bridge Tennis Club has two tarmac courts available, as well as a practice wall. The courts are locked when not in use and the security code is available to members. This code will be sent out to members at the time of new Membership or renewal. The gate code is due to change on 1st May.

The Village Hall is also available to members for washroom and refreshment facilities. Members with key sets are able to open the Hall as required, and have access to the Bowling Green to recover lost tennis balls.

Court Resurfacing

As a result of generous funding from Sport England, both tennis courts and the practise area were resurfaced in 2012. They still look superb, and give fantastic grip. They are a tribute to the club we thank Sport England again for making the renovation possible.

Club Rules and Player Safety Guidance

Members should play in proper tennis attire. Club members must wear appropriate tennis footwear, with non marking soles.

In the event of court congestion, and if other Club members are waiting to play, then play a short set in singles (no more than 30 minutes with "sudden death" after one deuce point), or ideally play doubles to free up a court. When you have finished playing, please slacken off the nets, and take all rubbish with you, including old tennis balls and ball tube lids. Please lock the courts when you leave.

Precedence must be given to matches, club coaching and organised Club sessions at all times.

As an advisory note, players are personally responsible for decisions regarding the suitability of playing conditions. The Tennis Club accepts no responsibility for personal injury or tennis equipment damage. We would also recommend that you warm up and stretch properly before playing to avoid injuries.
